  1. Again - fantastic journalistic photography. This could have been taken in the 40's - before the Germans came.

    1. Thank you so much Dotti... there is such a timelessness about Paris, even in its people.

  3. You have both the eye and the sense of what will create a memorable shot. The B&W is perfect for this once upon a time.

  4. Such a wonderful mood this evokes. I spent countles moments in solitude in just such places ~ sometimes literally alone, often "alone" in the crowd. The reflections are such a part of the cafe atmosphere! Another timeless favorite!

    1. It is always fascinating what artwork evokes in us... I think we know the story here Adrienne because we have both lived that story. It is a nostalgic and beautiful one... xo

    1. Some more details about this image Betty... it was late morning, the cafe sits in the shadow of Notre Dame, and she is seated facing the bouquinistes and buttresses of this great church.

  7. One thing we enjoy doing when we "people watch" is to create stories about what we are seeing. There is much to think about with this photo, Catherine, and B&W mKes it much more evocative.
