I recently discovered this view of Notre Dame, from the ninth floor terrace of l'Institut du Monde Arabe on the Left Bank. Entry is free, and there's even a restaurant where you can dine while enjoying the city's rooftop vistas and splendid skyline...

  1. There is nothing like the skyline and pale rooftops of Paris to encourage a feeling of romance and nostalgia! I particularly like the framing of the 4th photo. It feels like the city is quiet in these pictures and devoid of hustle and bustle (which is probably not the case). Have a good week, Catherine.

  5. Now there's a 'must visit' rooftop! I used to sit by the river right below this building to read...would bring a thermos of coffee and sit and read/write for hours! Walked by it so often, and never thought to visit...but it'll be on the list for my eventual return!

  11. I found the views of the sleek buildings and then some of the older ones, like Notre Dame, very interesting Catherine. And, you had not only a perfect viewpoint, but also a great day to take these photos.
